If you can afford a Tacoma I think you can afford the $40 4 pack 1/4"thick rubber durable grommets through Toyota parts dept. to fix the problemcorrectly. They came up with these within the last year so the parts departmenttold me and I believe it is Toyota's 3rd fix for the same problem. When the bike tube wears out like others have tried and noted spend theforty bucks, save some time and have peace of mind the problem is resolved. You'll also be helping others by not leading them in the wrong direction in regards to the proper fix.
Thank you for taking the time and telling me how/where/and how much money to get it fixed properly, I do appreciate it. But, they were annoying me, and I had an old bike tube that I could use for a TEMPORARY fix, which is all this is. As my leafs are POS and are frowning, I am going to use this way until I find the money to buy a new pack. I am sorry that this has made you feel like this is a bad way to fix a problem, for close to no money, and an hour of time. Please go to the actual thread and spread the word. Thank you
