    For you Madjik_Man

    SomewhatHalfassedWriteUpFor8"subinunderSeatCompartment!

I started by doing the obvious and pulling the stock door out and placing it on top a piece of 1/4" plywood and traced out the main shape, as well as the hole for use of the stock twist and lock thing..(cause i wanted it to somewhat still look OEM) while slightly going under the edges since it still had carpet on it, then cut it out with a jig saw.

While it might have been a cleaner look to leave the twist lock off i like it as is. this is where im at to this point:
    6c8e9cd7_3d4bca0a4a5225739c4a2a92cffd143fcd35f701.jpg
(My door up top and the stock one still wrapped in carpet below it.)

Next i had to decide on a spot for the sub to sit, and since iw anted it flush mounted i had to take into consideration the piece of wood the sub would actually bolt to under the bottom and the lip inside the truck that the new door had to rest on, a little tricky and time consuming but measure 5 times and cut once :D

So i started off by measuring the outside diameter of the sub and cutting that out to make it "flush"
    e2e2907e_6f6857ba80e889e350379bf578300f8690bf1229.jpg

Then i got to work making the ring the sub mounts to. I started by just cutting a round ring 7 1/8" for the sub cutout and made sure it was a snug fit, then i measured 1 1/4" all the way around that so that i would have about 1/2" of the ring making full contact with the new door, but remember the 1" lip that also has to be cut into the ring so that the door sits down flush into the storage compartment. Then if you keep the twist and lock thing you will have to slightly modify it depending on placement of the sub and if you want it flush mount or not.

    The ring is visible here:
    377ab28c_d215f464df5c32b313663309c9706a04d60736af.jpg

Notice the black line visible around the ring, thats the 1" marks so i knew where to cut the ring in straight sections.

I didnt get pics of making the ring but its self explanitory for the most part.

I also re-used the stock carpet on my new door since i didnt have anymore else where plus carpet is easily replacable. Just pull the old staples out of the stock one then slide your new door into the carpet and re staple.

Here it is all finished up and ready to be installed:
    93d4b802_65bb3e7f10575d003946744a2c1c7264851b7786.jpg

Also note that bolts should be added under the carpet so that the whole thing canbe secured to the truck. I havent completely finished as this isnt completely permanent yet and i plan to get a better speaker soon to go in there..

    && the finished product

Thanks man i love the way the tie down and lock system worked! They are a bit pricey but damn its well worth it, i kept drinks cold for 4-5 days in 100+ degree whether last week! And found it on sale so it wasnt bad. I got the Tundra 75 series. Put 30 lbs of ice in it a 24 pack of waters, couple gatoraids, half a 12 pack, a small watermellon, half gallon of tea, about 6 peaches and 6 plums so it holds a shit ton of stuff too!

I have just spent the last couple hours looking through your build and 51 pages is a lot to read through BTW. But it sure is a nice build and i am going to copy stuff of your truck if that is ok? But anyways nice build

Thanks man! Yea i know its alot to read and mostly BS. Ive yet to update aince the winch and new system and alot of things really. My build on TTORA is alot easier to read as its only 1 page but i rarely get to sit at a computer to update the darn thing and its to complicated to do from my phone. & yea man go ahead and copy it up! Thats what its here for and if you have any questions just shoot em my way and ill do my best to answer. Keep an eye out for a new switch panel ill be fiberglassing into the headliner soon! & possibly 35's since i got a decent job now ill be a little closer to a sas as well :spy:

Then started this as a project...
    ACAB34E4-4575-4CB5-A33D-45F5F1CCFF5A-101_8e3202ed6a18b004dca120b41dc440d1f570f8ec.jpg
Just a mock up piece, the real one will fit the pocket perfect and label the switches

Then got tired of the little 8" sub in the cubby so i ordered this and started a new setup...

Turned the new box into a "box". And laid out the emblems. Probabaly actually paint the 2nd fen emblem white and stick it on as the liner is drying. Gonna go pull all the wires from the floor of the cab and prime it then spray the Raptor Liner tuesday.
