    Hey everyone,

Last week I traded in a 2019 Camaro SS and a 2015 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk for a 2017 TRD Off-road. It was pretty well modded which is why I went for it. Not to mention we are moving for PA to CO in a couple of months so I wanted something for overlanding.

I loved the damn thing so far. Anyway, I'm curious what people think are so non-obvious things to have in the truck for off roading/overlanding that have proven useful.

Also just general ownership tips, if any.

Learn the general maintenance routines and how to DIY.

If you care about finish/upholstery, care for those well.

Functionally, use the truck as is, then when it falls short in a given function for you, figure out what needs modification to correct that. Many spend piles on mods they don't really need, because they never use the vehicle like they think they are going to.

Not sure what 'overlanding' means to you, because true overlanding is a rare thing to see. But I will predict that you'll find that bed bar thingy to be in your way eventually.

Also, are those actual sliders on the side, or some type of less rugged step system?

Lastly, what components were used to create the lift?
