The same shit everyone else has.
Has anyone upgraded their lower dashboards to the newer 12+ style with 2 12v outlets and 4 switches/blanks?

I like the idea of having 4 switches/blanks and the 12v outlets both being on the same side.

Im assuming the panels interchange. The radio bezels interchange as do the HVAC panels. Ths leads me to believe the lower panel also interchanges but would like to be 100% sure before pursuing this any further.

Always wanted to do this. Subbed for outcome. Yes the panels should be directly interchangeable, but how everything would wire up is unbeknownst to me.

Wish I had the answer for you- but holy cow was it a pain in the butt to get to that bottom panel to add switches let alone remove it. I'm sure worth it for something like this though.

Nice upgrade. Can't wait to do myself. Where'd you get the new one, Christian?

Bumping an old thread. Is this swap possible on the earlier 2nd gen Tacomas (2005-2008)? I have a 06 TRD Offroad, it has no switch blanks, just the 2 cigarette lighters. Thinking about throwing some heated seat switches in that spot.

Sweet, thanks! Figured it would look a lot better to just replace the panel than trying to hack the current piece up, especially if I have to take it apart anyway

Do you happen to still have the part number for the panel you ordered? Been looking online, but the part number I've found, 5540704050B0, seems to vary a bit from site to site.
