2008 Rebate Question

Can someone that has gotten the following rebate answer a couple questions?

"2008 Tacoma New Cash Back
4x4 models only
A special offer from your
participating Toyota dealer.
up to $1250.00 cash back. 4x4
V6 C-CAB models only"

1) Is this a Factory to Dealer incentive or Cash Back to the Consumer from the Dealer
2) What determines if you get the maximum $1250.00 or less than that.

 

I just bought an 08 double cab 4x4 base model, my deal was 1250 cash back or 0% apr for 4 yrs.... I took the 4 years

 

Hmm I bought a 2008 AC 4x4 TRD OR in June and got a 1750 cash back rebate..
