2010 Speedometer fail.

    My speedometer behaved erratically for awhile and then failed completely. For awhile my fuel gauge was acting strangely too but now it’s working properly again. According to a wiring diagram the speed sensor connects to pins 6 & 3 of C9 on the combination meter and the fuel gauge to pins 8 & 4. I suspect a bad connection on the combination meter where the plug connects to C9. I’m about to remove the instrument cluster but I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this problem.

    Did you check if the truck is included in spiral cable recall?

    I had my speedometer act crazy once when a rear wheel bearing was going out and rear ABS sensoe was coated with crap, that wouldn't effect the gas gauge though.
