Hey ladies and gents, short story long, im seriously considering buying a 2013 DCSB tacoma that started its life in maryland, but now ended up in tx. I got a few pictures from the dealer of the frame and am wondering what everyone thinks since this truck started life in the salt belt.

The frame appears to have very little rust, but most of it is in the area near the front of the truck where the frame is boxed. Do you guys think this ones safe to think about picking up? Or should i turn around and run?

Any opinions would be appreciated. Sorry for the redundancy of this thread.. just looking to see what you guys would do if you were in my shoes.

    Truck is a 2013 Barcelona red DCSB 4x4 6MT

Looks about the same as my truck that has spent it's entire life in Tennessee.

Frame looks real good for a truck that is 4 years old.

If the price is right, buy it.

I have a 2013 that's spent it's entire life in AZ and CA and never seen salt, and my frame is only slightly less rusty than that one. Having lived in DC and VA for a few years and knowing how heavily salted the roads are, that frame is in great condition.

Maryland isn't really in the salt belt....they don't get a lot of snow and ice. I wouldn't be worried about it

Thanks for the input everyone! I also thought it looked to be in pretty good shape. My 09 looks much worse and its lived it's whole life it tx. Just wanted to get some more opinions to play it safe.
