2014 extended metalic Grey TRD

Bakflip folding bed cover

Latch is w/lock & camera and Bakflip folding bed cover is down and locked.
I reckon I need to totally destroy the lock to gain access to latch rods?
Any ideas. I have a 2006 latch will it sub once the broken one is removed?
