Has anyone with the 2014 figured out how to set their current location for the weather?
I thought I did but every time I start the truck it seems to choose a location that is about 100 miles away rather than the closest town listed/and chosen by me.

This might sound crazy and someone correct me if I am wrong but it appears the non-navigation units appear to have a GPS antenna for the traffic/weather. My weather location changes depending on where I am and also updates as I am driving. Might be something tied into the XM Antenna and system though since its an XM service.

Half the time mine says the the weather is not available. I really wish they would have just put in a sensor on the truck and worked it that way. Im going to try and find one in the mirror and mount it up.

If what I just read was correct, the weather and traffic on our Toyotas is supplied from the HD radio and does not require XM service! That is nice to know, but it is dependent on whatever local HD radio station is picked up. I'm guessing that's why mine is not staying what I choose. Maybe there are limited HD broadcasters...

The temperture gauge in the rear-view mirror on my 2011 Taco was accurate. But the weather "app" on my '14 looks cooler. And looks are what counts, right?
