Am I the only 2018 Tacoma owner with transmission problems? I have the V6, 6 speed auto, 4x4. It now has 5000 miles and I've had it back to the dealer 5 times. The service manager and lead tech drove it and agree that it has a vibration/jerk that is most noticeable between 45 and 65 but is there at all speeds. It's there during acceleration or deceleration. after dozens of calls to Toyota and the NC attorney generals office, Toyota says it is a "characteristic of the 6 speed". I now have a meeting and evaluation with the Toyota district tech who will evaluate it. I have friends with 2017's that do not have this problem. I'm told by independent trans mechanics that it's in the clutch system in the trans. any advice is needed and welcome. Thanks BTW, I've owned Toyotas for 23 years and traded in a 2001 Tacoma that I bought new, similarly equipped, on this one, wish I had it back!

ride with him when he drives it then make him go straight to another 2018 same truck on the lot and ride with him in it. from you write up sounds like there should be considerable difference. make them put in new tranny if that's what it will take to correct the issue. also try and demand they swap out your truck with a new one, they may have to eat this one.

Nope your not the only one, lol. I have the same issue from the beginning, have had the new TSB (Still need to validate if it was actually installed) and still have the "Chug a lug" "Hesitation/Miss" feeling mostly from 40 -65 MPH. Toyota states "as designed".
