Hey everyone. I'm working on a project and am really hitting a roadblock. I'm making a wedding cake topper for a friend and need to 3d print the thing. Not a problem generally speaking, except the model they want me to use has a detailed interior (delorean car model). I just need the car to be a solid object. Does anyone know how to do this and may be able to help me out? I've been bashing my head against a wall for days trying to figure out how.

Have you tried using meshmixer to automatically fill in any holes in the model? Just making a guess, but what exactly is the object? A broken mesh?

What cad software are you using?

edit - you should be able to Create a 2-d sketch on the centerline of the model and Extrude material to fill the inside. There are likely other ways to do it but that should be pretty simple to do.

Should be an easy fix if you would like me to take a stab at it. I also run a 3d printing business if you would like it printed as well.
