Ok, so I ordered a programmable modulator for the 3rd brake light on my 2013 PreRunner Double Cab. The unit itself is very small - about half the size of a book of matches - so it can go almost anywhere. I've already installed LED's in the 3rd light, to allow it to actually flash, rather than flicker.

I would, however, like to mount it where the two programming wires are accessible from the interior. I've had the entire interior of the truck gutted (when I installed the aftermarket stereo components and wiring) with the EXCEPTION of the headliner... So that's new territory for me.

So my question is, do the wires to the 3rd brake light run through the headliner, anywhere near the dome light? If not, where would be the best place to tap in the modulator wires?

    Thanks in advance.

Looks like it runs down the C pillar on the drivers side.

Thanks, Jeff. I'll take a look. If that's the case, it will make things fairly easy, as that panel isn't very difficult to remove and reinstall.
