Specific vehicle carrier has welded joints, completely solid, with pivot hinge to fold up into the bed.

Universal carrier has welded joints but cross members are held in place with through bolts to allow for small storage and shipping areas. Also welded nuts with bolts to allow for adjustment of legs and slides for different bed lengths.

 

Is this aluminum?

Sorry so long for an update but to answer an old question, yes it's available in aluminum (35 lb) and a steel (45 lb) version.

All has been busy finalizing design, manufacturing and pricing. But is completed and we are up and running on first version and are in middle of proto typing second round with addition of headache rack that folds also.
