Especially a working and hunting dog. Hey Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers are a good looking dog so let's get one and then put it in a crate most of the day while we are at work and then all night o_O No, just no. And as important as physical exercise many if not most need mental stimulation as well. And they need to know that you are leader of the pack, even if there is only one dog. Know a lot of people where the dog is the pack leader in the home.

Having a dog that trains you instead of the other way around is another story with smart dogs, and I may or not have had that happen a couple of times before

Caught a west slope cutthroat and two bull trout so far. All C & R and with the heat I don’t mess around with getting pics. Just net them and get them back swimming ASAP.

Just got back from fishing. Getting pretty toasty out and the fishies seemed to be losing interest. Also thought my waders had sprung a leak. Got back to camp and pulled them off. Seemed dry. Pants were soaked though. I think it was sweat I felt running down my leg. Definitely time to get off the water.
Gonna be a two bra two undies day at a minimum!

The little thermometer I keep on the back of the camper says 90
There was a slight chance of a thunderstorm later. I hope more rain than lightning. Might help knock things down a bit.

Wish I could get out and fish more. Floated the South Fork of the Flathead last week and got two small cutbows. Been fighting a foot injury and my right ankle has no strength from being in a boot for 6 weeks. Last week slept thru 2 alarms, woke up 20 minutes before I need to leave for work. called them to let them know i was gonna be a few minutes late, skipped breakfast and shower. Go out start the bike, realize I left the bird feeders on the front step while watering the lawn overnight. Thought might as well hang them back up since I'm already late. Twisted my right ankle and pulled my left glute trying, unsuccessfully, to not fall. Grrrr... Laid there a minute or two to catch my breath. Crawled inside grabbed the truck keys, turned off the bike and drove to work. Thankfully I still have my handicap permit so I could grab one of the close parking spots. My wife was the overnight charge nurse on the unit I was working for the day so had her run down to the coffee shop after she was done. They were closed. Got a nice white bread bologna sandwich for breakfast.

Bow season opens Sept 7th. Might be a road hunter this year. Hopefully by rifle season I'll be back in shape to hike. Hunting partner is coming for a few days tonight. Warned him I'm in the worst physical shape he's ever seen me in.
Been a long hot summer of reduced activity.

Tom nice catch on the scam!

    Paul hang in there bro!

Everyone in the rain belt stay dry or at least keep your head above water!

Weesa, more rain this week hopefully! Can't believe its raining in July and august!!
