I was never in the military, wish i had gone in.

Tried machines at home, can't do it, that's where my recliner lives. I have always been a bike rider, love mountain bikes, but at 0530 it would be just me and the mountain lions, so off to the gym and spin.

Get a pedometer and start walking , park farther away so you have to walk more . walking is the best exercise you can do even if you're sedentary .. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sedentary_lifestyle

I myself have lost 40 lbs just by walking more and watching what I'm eating . just for example since Aug 2016

    Total steps ... 2 ,249,502

    Walked .... 1,278 miles

    Active time ... 379hrs

    Calories burned ... 192497

I just assumed that everyone was in the military . Put one in the room next to your chair. Start working out while watching a TV program. That's how I had to do it ha ha

What's the DA or Relative Density , your corrected elev ??

The air still sucks here as my DA or corrected elev is 8448ft and relative density is 77.52

The air is making it feel I'm living at 8400ft which is 5200ft higher than actual and feels like I'm breathing thru a straw !!

I would stop before I did that.

    I only have 3to 6 a week no more than 1 a day.

I never lose weight by diet alone and I hate restrictions on what I eat, I don't eat dairy anyway.
I am eating less, curing out the soft drinks and exercise, I just have to keep going.
