Morning all. Nice and cool out this morning, 54F. AC off, windows up. I have to see if I can get the front end aligned at my local Monroe muffler as they're open today. Grass needs to be cut and the race at the tricky triangle needs to be watched. Of course, there's some cleaning that has to happen before the estrogen twins (wife & daughter) get home...

Yeah ... I know ... two of my wife's siblings and their spouses are nurses ... they get on me about it all the time. I hadn't taken hardly any for the past year, but the last few weeks it's been hurting a lot.

Stupid suicidal car roof rippin' cow moose.

... Air Force Docs, and now VA Docs, hand out Motrin like it's the cure all for everything; and always the 800mg "horse pill" variety. o_O

    probably

As Kevin noted, careful with the liver; especially if you take other meds too.

Dec 7, 2012 I went in for bladder surgery. I listed all my meds and they were reviewed several times. They gave me an antibiotic which when combined with my Crohn's med over taxed my kidneys. While I was on the table, I went into shock and my kidneys shut down. What was supposed to be a fairly easy outpatient surgery turned into 6 days in the hospital, followed by 3 more surgeries over 6 months. I had 4 tubes coming out of me and now have, what appear to be, 3 belly buttons... Didn't get back to work until August 2013. Moral of the story? Careful on mixing meds. I now check for drug interactions on my own. Whether it's the truck or yourself, once you begin to modify from factory, you are your own warranty station...

Fortunately ... so far  ... Motrin and Vitamin D are the only two meds prescribed to me by my Doc. I take a multivitamin, a vitamin C gummy, and the vitamin D every day. The Motrin I only take as needed.

Thanks though, I do get it ... my BIL/SIL have made me very, very, aware of the Motrin danger to my liver.

Wife told me anybody over 40 shouldn't take ibuprofen.
I take joint therapy vitamins and they all have vitamin d since that's what helps the body absorb the others.

OK...caught up on my dishwashing; set out a package of bacon to thaw. Not starting on the barn at Randy's 'til 9:30AM today, so figure I'll make myself a nice breakfast before going over there.

Think I'll route the pups through the backyard, then try for a second round of sleep. Have a great day everyone. :)

Hmmm ... I'm not gonna get knotted up over it ... there's a lotta things up here trying to kill me. 33 yrs of smoking before I quit 17 months ago will probably catch up with me before the Motrin kills me. ;)

I'll catch ya' later Kevin ... enjoy the day. Hope that MomDog holds out 'til your wife gets home. :)

Ok, so Monroe muffler opens at 9am. I'm here, mechanic just showed up. No manager. It's 9:10. I've never been in the military but I do know 9am means 9am or darn close to it...

Good morning. Well the morning has gone to the dogs already. Have a wrought iron gate between the upstairs and downstairs and the damn latch just broke. Need to run to HD Ace doesn't open until 10. Dogs are fed and not going anywhere for now can't open the gate. At least it isn't stuck open!

You too Chris! I get done going to cook breakfast on the gasser, just got done cleaning the outside and putting the griddle in it. Then chicken wings on the charcoal later today. At least that is the plan. But plans have a way of getting turned around here it seems. Hope the weather is cool for you.

Morning all, finally caught up on the posts.
Mom's tv stopped working, the direct tv is stuck on please wait, looks like a hard reboot, her lifeline to the world. I told her to read a book and she grumbled, but that's what she used to tell me.
Seems like you enjoy the building more than the playing.

Hey Chuck, do you check the table when you take a pic, to make sure the bong is put away?
Hey Austin. I did a Google search on guns and coffee patch, too many results to post. there was even a yeti mug with that logo.
At 24 I had a rare form of osteoarthritis couldn't walk or turn my head. I was on nsaids for almost 2 years, the doctor never told me what it would do to my stomach, everything I have read since says, no more that a year.
