Im at work out in the plant also,between the heat from the machines and humidity in the plant it will drain you on a 12 hr shift.we keep fans going all over the line.one of my machines has 12 1000degree burners on it.

 

Brutal lol!

 

Grass cut - check
dogs walked - very short walk - check
ready to call it - check

 

I'll pass, thank you

 

only running 900’ now. 3 burners per zone

YES.we run infrared heaters now.used to have gas.get your air and gas mix wrong when adjusting those and they would flair up .no fires since we switched as u adjust heat on the panel not by adjusting gas burners by hand. and air blast comes on if it stops with books in machine now and burners power down.but years ago we had some big fires.back then we had strong operators and they would come from all over with exstingushers. with the snowflakes in here now id hate to see a big one. plus now if we have a fire you have to evacuate till fire dept. comes to give all clear.OSHA rules because of all the paper and stuff.bad part was if you had a fire back then the burning book pocket would go around the machine it wasnt just in one spot.and the whole damn thing would be burning.much safer now

 

When I worked at Uniroyal fires were almost a daily thing. Same thing, if the line stops Nuagahyde would start on fire almost instantly. We put out most of the fires our selves, once in a while the fire department was needed and they were just around the corner

I can only imagine, and some of that stuff can be so easy to fix!

I have a cheapo Yard Machines mower that took a dump on me like, 2 years ago maybe. All it was was the goofy little gasket for the carburator, i think all it took to fix was < $10 in parts and the time for a quick Youtube video and finding a screwdriver somewhere - cake!

 

Is that who that is (Chris)?
