We have just made sure we keep an eye on them and we do give them a but more attention. I find the dynamics definitely change but they do find a new rhythm.
We also, although it is difficult to do, remove anything (bed, pillow) that may have been mainly the kitty’s that we had to say goodbye to. We did not do this the first time and we found the other cats reacted strangely to the item(s).

We have several 'birds that have cabover campers on car trailers that use them for the trip from homebase to here, but they have bigger rigs they keep stored here during summer. Most of those have the camper as far forward as they can get it then stuff a 4 wheeler under the front and whatever else behind the camper on whatever deck is open.

Yeah, we’ve had some that were very close and when something happened the one left by themselves turned their attention to a different cat or kind of wandered around (I think looking for their friend) for a bit but eventually came around.
Unfortunately, we have lost several through the years and each time the reaction is a bit different.

Makes me feel good all over to help them. http://souldog.org/clinic/ The nature of where they do their work out in the boonies it makes life easier for them to have a solid 4WD that can tow 7k. Very dedicated people.

They're wonderful people and I figure if I'll be getting rid of a vehicle why not give it to the best possible home that will make the best use of it?

In the past 4 weeks we had to put down 2 of our dogs. A 3rd dog remains.

We brought each one home and allowed "Honey" to view the body of her 2 "sisters". They seem to understand. Then we lavish as much attention on Honey as time allows.

Surprizingly....our 6 parrots are missi g the dogs far more than Honey. They call their names several times a day.

I'm the one struggling the most with the absence of my best buddies...

Up just past midnight. Tired and sleepy but struggling with the fact that my health is about to spell an end to my ability to earn a living. Parkinsons is starting to take its toll.

    Morning all
    32.2 degrees.
Decided to take the last ac unit out last night.
With the high winds we have been having the trees are prettty much stripped.
So if it can hold off raining I’ll be mowing Sunday.
That will get me into part two of winter prep..
Oh yea after a friggin year we got the race motor back from the the engine shop that just closed down.
Not very confident with it but we will see.
Starting to put it in now.
If it shits the bed again it will be going out to a friends of Bob in Ohio.
He’s a Formula driver and builder and has several patented engine mods.
IMHO it will be going out there as I think it’s going to puke...
So be safe and well today people.
    Hug your loved ones..
    Time marches on..
