83' BashFab build

This is a good time to try and list out everything we've done to this truck so far:

-Fixed Weber electric choke wiring (was wired direct to battery by PO - draining battery)
-New parking brake cable installed
-Retrosound radio
-Retrosound Retropod 6x9s
-Fuel lines replaced
-Manual fuel pump removed and fuel pump cam opening plated over
-New electric fuel pump installed on frame
-Custom skid plate bolted to frame to protect fuel pump
-4 inch Rough Country Lift Springs Front/Rear
-Rough Country shocks Front/Rear
-Factory wheels plasti-dipped
-33 x 10.5 BFG KM2s
-Trail Gear extended brake lines front/rear
-Trail Gear rear spring hangers
-Trail Gear HI-Steer Conversion / 88 Toyota IFS steering box swap
-Front Axle rebuild
-Bashfab Front Axle Tube Truss
-Marlin Crawler knuckle ball gusset kit
-Trail Gear Diff Armor Front/Rear

-Bed bob
-Bashfab front bumper w/hoops
-Bashfab high clearance rear bumper

 

Awesome Zack got to the pic before me! I got it all ground down t bare metal and will begin stitching it back together tomorrow!
Got sidetracked with some LED light bar windshield mounts for another member.

Update on the bed bod. Chad got the rear end tacked back on, and everything is starting to look pretty awesome at this point!

 

Sliders installed and tested! Truck will be back sometime this week to finish up the bed and front/rear bumpers!

New TG bomb proof motor mounts in after a trail failure on stock mounts.

 

A pic of the old motor mounts. Both sides were completely seperated and were providing basically no support to the motor at all.

 

Finally getting some free time to get back to this and got the front crossmember made up and plate so the bumper bolts up to the truck.. It will be a non winch bumper but will have a receiver hitch. All mounts are 1/4" plate and the bolts are 15/16x5/8 bolt.









Have a front gear install to do tomorrow so ill probably get back on this come sunday!

 

Who needs airbags when you got a bumper like that!

 

Got my gameplan for the tube work in my head once everything was bolted up! Should get back to it sometime sunday! Oh and Im about 85% sure I figured out a way to get your receiver in there as well!

What stereo is in truck?

 

I believe its a Retrosound radio, made to mimmick the old school look but with the goodness of todays electronics! It has usb port and AUX port as well as your typical radio etc.. but here recently the screen has quit working and doesn't show anything but still plays.

Lol he has a few updates. I've seen bumper progress pics

 

All I have is pics of the bumper. Since I got a day job now I wont get to mess with it till Fridays.. Next on the list is to modify the brackets for the corbeaus to drop them 1.5" or so since your head is in the roof with them as is, then get the new trans mount in/ Ill probably go ahead and bend everything for the bumpers front and rear and finish welding up the bed and getting it bedlined.

Both of yall have gotten pics before anyone else has seen them haha. Still gotta order a new notcher or part to fix mine before I can finish up the tube work. Ill probably just end up hand notching it all.
