I bought my Tacoma TRD last year. Would like to make some modifications, but I need a little bit of help because I'm a rookie when it comes to this. For a start, I would like to order Bilstein shocks. I was looking at the C and D series. One of my coworkers said I should also buy a leaf pack as well. Is there anything else you guys would recommend or suggest? Anything suggestion is helpful for me.

Welcome to the site dh07. We need more info before we can give any useful advice. What year is your truck? 4x4? What is your intended use? Street only? Mild/moderate off road? Harder core off road? What is your budget?

2014 4x4. I usually do moderate off road, dirt trails. Budget isn't really an issue. I live in southern Arizona, but I like to take it all over Arizona and out in the wilderness areas.

I just installed the bilstein lift kit from toytec. Comes with all new shocks, coils, and add a leaf. It was my first time doing a serious wrench job on my truck and wasn't too difficult with the proper tools (if you're looking to install it yourself). 3" of lift and the ride is great

What I did bro is a LOT of research on this site. Many folks around here like to install Old Man Emu (OME) suspensions. Front shocks with new coils for 2-3 inches of lift, and OME Dakar leafs and OME shocks out back for +- 3 inches lift. Do the research. Pay attention to the trade-offs having to do with possible driveline vibrations and ways to avoid them, in my case by keeping my lift at 2-2.5 inches.
