    Cool stuff
I heard there’s a fan kit from Toyota that’s made for Tacoma’s that are in extremely hot climates. It’s suppose to increase the AC output. Have any of you heard of this or got it done …. I Want to hear about it. Thanks in advance!

Yup my search obviously sucked. Your TSB is much better/more applicable.

I've also been looking into this to try to track down some of the parts in this kit. Aside from being standard on trucks sold in Mexico, it's also been on a few TSBs regarding the AC not putting cold air at idle. The idea being to fit a fan and add sealing around the radiator (to stop air going around the engine and AC radiators) to increase air flow when the truck is not moving fast enough to provide full airflow in hot conditions, such as when in traffic, at idle, or wheeling off road.

In addition to the two TSBs mentioned, I came up with TSB-0063-20 browsing around, which is just a slightly different version of TSB-0063-18 for 3rd gens as far as I can tell.

Reading into the fan installation instructions in the TSBs, I personally am loathe to have that work done on my truck, as the wiring and install seems pretty complex for what it does and involves splicing wires, removing the dash, and adding sensors to trigger fan activation. I'd much rather just seal most of the radiator edges and gaps myself, then install a fan linked to a simple on/off switch I can manually toggle when I want it on/off.

I was able to order from a dealer some of the rubber seals that fit around the radiator to channel more air through it, but found others required a special order that needed the dealer to supply a valid VIN. From what I could find researching around, apparently this means supplying a VIN either from a truck that had one of the TSBs involving the AC fan done on it, or one which was produced and sold in Mexico (and thus came with the AC fan on it when sold new). So if one wants to just order parts without trying to do the whole TSB, it seems like it'll involve getting the VIN from another Tacoma that Toyota's ordering system will be ok with.

Wow I would never let the dealership install something that extensive, I can only imagine the problems the dealer "tech" would create.

If needed why not just install an aftermarket electric fan with either an automatic & adjustable fin mounted temp control or a simple switch run to under the dash to use when needed.

Because 90% of tacoma owners cant even change their own oil let alone install a electric fan.

This turned out to be a lot more of an install, definitely would be weary of letting the dealership do this install
