    Hello all,

I am looking for an ADD relay for my tacoma.

    Part number 89531-35020

My 4wd has not been engaging for awhile now. I have tested multiple components that all seemed to be working and finally got around to testing the relay after I located it and it failed the test that the Haynes manual describes. It has continuity between pins 1 and 3 but not between 2 and 4. When power is applied it does not have continuity between 3 and 5.

I cut the thing apart and the water damage was obvious. Definitely was full of water at some point. I believe the blue resistor(?) in the middle has failed. I get no continuity through it. The tan resistor with colored lines has 78 ohms across it.

I have searched online and found that the part is discontinued. I searched at my local salvage yard and the 2 tacomas there had the proper plug for the relay but the relay itself was missing on both of them. Does anyone know where I can source one or is Ebay my best option?

I suppose I could try to replace just the failed resistor but damn that'll be some electrical surgery.

    Thank you for your help!PXL_20240801_210717236.jpg PXL_20240801_232249356.jpg PXL_20240801_232254371.jpg PXL_20240801_232314983.jpg PXL_20240801_232327476.jpg
