I'd trade it in for one with a stock sunroof, seriously.

I don't know what I'd do without mine, I truly love having it!

Yes. I never use the sunroof on my Civic. Had them in three past vehicles as well. The sunroofs in the two German cars staged a monsoon in the interior of the cars after a good rain. Never again.

I would have sprung for a Pro myself, but the lack of a sunroof was a deal killer.

I figure it's cheaper modding my TRDOR anyway.

It’s not that hard, do you have a saws all? Just get a piece of plexiglass at the hardware store, cut a whole, how hard can it be?

I won’t buy anything without a sunroof, except my Jeeps.

I would be very hesitant to cut a sunroof in. A friend had a sunroof put in their new car and have had weird electrical gremlins ever since that cannot be remedied. They had the dealership put in the sunroof, and regret it. The headache from such a mess can’t be reversed.

Thanks for everyone's thoughts! Probably won't be doing it but I kind of thought someone would have come up with a sunroof or some sort or jeep like conversion for a tacoma by now.

I've had a tinted sunroof in 99 ° summers with high humidity for over 2 years . Hasn't been an issue with me . I rode motor cycles daily for 8 years and at least use the tilt function every time except in the heaviest of downpours because I like wind and wind noise .I don't like vent shades and unfortunately cars and trucks don't have vent wings in the doors any more.

I have a second gen that sun roofs weren’t available for. My first ride was a 95 runner and I used to always have it open if the weather was 65 or warmer.

I went to my local Toyota dealer that sells enough cars to be ranked in the nation and sought out their sunroof guy. He has been installing sunroofs for over 35 years and said the technology of them in the last 8-10 years has helped a lot. Considering that my mom got a sunroof placed in from the dealer for her previous vehicle without any issue during its life, I took the risk.

It’s only a year in, but man nonissue so far and I got a 3 year warranty and limited lifetime on it.

If you are a guy who needs the roof then go for it, I would just verify the installer first before doing it so that they have the eye for the install. As for me, no regrets, but I also prefer the cooler, colder to the warmer climates if that makes sense.

My Sport didtn came with moon/sun roof but i ordered the dealer install it, pretty satisfied with it, all functions just like stock, auto close after engine off, never leak. One thing i dont like about it is the buttons are different from the original factory built. Im trying to find the way to replace those buttons with the stock taco but has no clue.

If you're going to go this fair...why not just convert to removable top?

Start trying to find a trd with tech package totaled and take the headliner and sunroof cassette with the overhead console . It all plugs up . Then take your truck to a dealership body shop for a new roof skin . 100% oem. Make sure it's a trd off road because of the overhead console.

Would that be any more economical than just trading for a truck with the option?
