so my 2019 stopped working as well. Compressor turns like it should when I switch the AC on but light goes off and compressor switches off within 5 seconds. I understand that to be low 1234yf. The refill canisters sold do not include the pressure gauge like the earlier refrigerant recharge kits. Do you think its save to just hook it up and dump the whole canister in it? Of course the instructions say DO NOT OVERFILL

My AC is on Auto 24/7 and I regulate the temps with the temperature knob and works fine. Cool and warm when needed.

It becomes a trade-off between doing that and having your gas mileage drop significantly, plus more wear causing the shorter overall lifespan of the compressor. It’s definitely more economical to just use it when you need it but if you’re not worried about that then cool.

To be honest with you, I dont think low level is the reason yours turns on then off a few seconds later.
Low level seems to show as cold on drivers side and not cold on passenger side.

But a fault in the AC compressor will give you what your getting. Go look at the ground wire on your ac compressor clutch, its right there on the top of the clutch and grounds right there to the body of the compressor. The wire they used is not well protected and is just bare copper. Mine turned green and fuzzy at 23k miles and caused the same issue you have. Replacement ac compressor under warranty fixed it, but I think you can replace just the clutch too.
