If you get to the install before I do, would you mind letting me know how and what you do? No instructions/can't find a write up...

Thank you! This is something I've never done before so I'm new to it. I just know I have some "play" in my driveshaft when i get underneath and push on it so I'm hoping this eliminates it.

I have a little play in mine. For me, it's more hoping that it will get rid of the bad driveline vibes when driving.

Yeah that's what I'm hoping to eliminate too. I wouldn't say I have "bad" vibes but they are there..it's either that or something to do with that ECGS bushing everybody has said to replace..

I know I do not have to worry about ECGS bushing, not sure about the carrier bearing do I need this for a Prerunner?

I want to make sure I change anything and everything that might be a problem or need replacing when I install the lift. Is there anything that I should do that does not come with the ome kit?

    Thanks guys.

Your driveshaft will be put at a steeper angle when you lift. I want to say the 3" lift mark is when they suggest doing a carrier bearing drop of some sort to make your driveshaft sit more "straight".

ecgs clamshell bushing replaces the stupid needle nose in the front drivers side diff. so if you start to get vibration up front and they go away while in 4wd then that is the culprit. Some truck have it it some don't.

When you get it in, meet up with Matt and get my removal tool. Then drive up to my house and we can do yours and Scotty's at the same time.

I'm thinking I should get in on the poly carrier bearing also. Need to work on my truck, but need to work on the house a little more too.

Thats a great deal still on the poly bearing. I'd get it if I were you just for the price for the future.

I paid full price because the GB is on hold, but worth it to get rid of the shakes.

Hey Alabama TW. I live in Kimberly Alabama, which is between Birmingham and Cullman. I was trying to find some trails in the area and maybe some places for riding and camping. Also does anyone know if "The Slab" in central Alabama is open and accessible to get to. Thanks for the help and look forward to talking with fellow Alabama tacoma owners.
