    Hey guys,

My question pertains to the eccentric cams on the lower control arms used for alignment. Is there a maximum amount of rotation for them, or can they be spun all the way around if needed? In other words, can they be over rotated?

I had an alignment done after putting a leveling kit on. Most of the cams were turned about a quarter of a turn, so the adjustment marks weren't more than 90 degrees from their original position.

However, one cam was turned almost 180 degrees, so the adjustment lines are now facing down rather than up (original position).

Is this acceptable, or has the alignment shop over-rotated them?

Also attached a copy of the alignment specs. They barely touched the camber, and didn't change the caster at all.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Those numbers don't look great. How does it drive? Looks to be too much camber and not near enough caster.

Those specs look horrible, you need to go to a different alignment shop. To answer your question it is just a regular bolt that can be spun around in any direction.

Looks like they just monkeyed with whatever would give them green bars on the machine/printout without actually aligning anything. Bet that's a twitchy bitch to drive with caster like that. As was stated, find a shop that can actually do an alignment. Getting all the bars green is irrelevant if they don't feed the machine your VIN where it is trying to align your truck vs any other random vehicle. I can't see top of printout to tell what vehicle it is trying to align.

The truck drives fine. Tracks straight and doesn't pull. I'm getting a slight vibration in the steering wheel around 40-45mph that I didn't have before, but not sure if that's related.

I expected camber to be the main thing to be out of spec and to be fixed, but it appears they only barely adjusted that to within spec.

Is caster adjusted by the eccentric cams as well?

They did input my VIN and it is aligning as a 2016 Tacoma...

But I agree, looks like they did the bare minimum to get in the green, and didn't even attempt the caster?

Well, with factory adjusters, adding camber robs caster and vice versa. Even the toe looks bad. I know it's green but I always shoot for barely negative toe like -.02.
