OK, is there a ton of splicing you have to do because I told myself I'd never buy anything that didn't have a plug and play harness again.

 

For t9? Plug and play but a bunch of adaptors so a few directions needed...or not

 

OK, you're selling me. Haven't seen too many pictures of the Carplay resolution or whatever. I see a video for the 4R unit that looks pretty decent, but my main goal here is to get CarPlay Waze back.

does your head unit have GPS? or does it pull GPS from your phone?

 

Has built in gps but you can buy adaptor to reconnect to factory or use carplay to use phone gps

Yeah but you get no support or warranty. Good luck with that as although similar, are different. Hope you dont get the frizen boot screen after 2 months or missing adaptors. You wont even get the update for android 10, so save a few bucks but lose everything else. Ask the joying and dasita guys how much support they got. Answer is 0

 

Yeah, well my stock headunit freezes as it is. Especially if it’s cold out, so I got nothing to lose.
