Amp suggestions

What would be some amps I could get to power 2 Sony Xplod 1300 watt 12's? I dont wanna spend a fortune on the amp, just something with enough to power it

Both sellers say they have digital amps that are small. Which one is better? I like JL gear trying to save money though.

 

I prefer JL, but both are of good quality.

 

By the way, for the OP: I would not be concerned with spending a lot of money on an amplifier, given that the subs that you are running are not what most would consider "high end". But I would still avoid brands like pyramid, pyle, rockwood, etc.

An MTX amp, or if you can find a good price on a Pioneer or Kenwood amp, you should be doing good for your setup.

I did look at some of the stuff on Overstock, for the most part, it was a bunch of crappy brands. You would be better served checking the clearance section of crutchfield, or sonicelectronix.

 

Agree on both parts with Sooner. If the OP is trying to stick 12" subs in the Tacoma, I highly doubt they will fit.

About digital amps: they are fairly brand-new technology in the amp world, so prices are at a premium. I am currently aware of Alpine, JL, and Memphis making these, who I personally stick in the same basket. I know us not giving you a straight answer on "which is best?" is maddening, but the truth of the matter is that the build quality is similar and it's now time for you to make a choice. We are basically talking the difference between Pepsi and Coke at this point.
