Now I am not calling this truck disaster, since we have twin turbo Tundra for that.

However, I do hope issues clear out after first 2 years, and it will become as reliable as previous gens.

From what ive read, no more bump stops on these trucks. No leaf springs, no bump stops.

    Yet so expensive

On a $60K vehicle at that.
Solution - lower speed bumps at the malls.

I find this thread amusing, considering I broke my icons after what I consider light-duty use.

The stops are integrated into the shock body from what I have gathered. It doesn't sound as solid as a piece of rubber on the frame, but on the flipside I think this eliminates the problem of top hat spacer lift kits that bottom out the shock and blow it out when you don't raise the frame mounted bump stops to match your top hat spacer. Hope that makes sense.

Also you should change the title of this thread to 'reposted' instead of 'another...'

We've covered the shock built bump stops in this forum months ago, and regarding the leaf spring, you act as though it's bad that the 24 doesn't have them. Some of the lower trims do have them, you simply don't know what you're talking about.

I’ll agree that it doesn’t seem like a good design and it needs fixing. But a manufacturer of aftermarket shocks posting a video of the OEM shocks failing is pretty suspect. They went out there with the intention of breaking the truck. And they will sell more shocks because of it.
