I am looking for some insight on these springs. Specifics like did they squeak after install, also they say that the 3rd spring can be removed if anyone has removed it and how was the ride and how much lift did you get ? I don't want to lift the rear . Just want to better my ride and be able to put a little weight in the back with out sagging .

I have them, and removed the third spring.

They started out raising the bed about 3/4", but have settled almost to stock height. I'll be putting that leaf back in this month, before I tow a travel trailer up to Yellowstone. At first they seemed to be more firm than the stock springs, but I'm not so sure anymore....maybe not by much with that leaf removed.

I've had them for about a year and a half, but they started squeaking about 6 months after I got them. It could be the polyurethane bushings that they come with.

One thing that really caught me off guard is how quickly they rusted. Even before the winter hit they had a layer of rust on them, you couldn't even tell they were painted.

If I had to do it again, I'd probably go with something different. The problem is that I wasn't looking to lift the truck much, and there aren't a lot of options for better load carrying without lifting the truck.

Thank you for your quick response. Yeah I know what you mean about there not being to many options out there . I don't want to lift the rear either. The rust and the squeaking is a whole other issue. Thanks again for your reply.

Ive seen an add a leaf at Autoanything. Uses your stock spring and piggybacks until extra weight is in the bed.

I have them and did not remove the third spring. DCLB here and got 2 inches of lift. Mine do not squeak but do have surface rust on them, nothing major though. I paired them with bilstein 5100's in the rear. It rides firmer than stock which is nice and handles a load in the bed very well. With my atv in the back it used to bottom out all the time, not anymore.

Interesting that yours don't squeak. I had a set on my 99 Tacoma and they squeaked from the very moment they where installed. That is why I was wondering if this did the same . I wonted to take the 3rd leaf out so that I can stay level with my front leveling kit. I was thinking of getting a shell and was wondering how much it would settle with the that leaf removed. Thanks for your reply.

How long have you had them in? I'm surprised you have 2" of lift!

I have towed with mine, and hauled a few heavy loads, so I guess I could expect some settling. They didn't lift the truck that much, even when new.

I've been running them for a couple of years. IIRC my center hub to fender measurements were 22 inches front and 24 inches rear. I'll check tomorrow and see if that has changed.

Edit: Measured and it is still 22inches front and 24 inches rear. 2 inches of lift in the rear over stock.

    No mods whatsoever!
I ordered the same set but haven't installed them yet. I called Wheeler's and was told 1.5 to 1.75 inches lift. I do not plan to remove any leafs, and have no problem using stock shocks for up to 2 inches lift in the rear for my use.
