No luck today, hunted my butt off but it didn’t happen. Saw a few doe, nothing within range. No deer taken from the WMA by anyone today. The wind from the storm was making everything skittish. I’m going to try a different approach tomorrow. I was legit getting nauseous from spotting and my tree swaying with me in it lol. It feels great to be back in the woods!!

No deer this past hunt. It was only my second time hunting this WMA and my first with a bow. It’s closed to the public year round except if you draw it for a hunt. So scouting is impossible- even with google as they do so many controlled burns, you have no idea how a section of the property will look. They give out 50 tags and you’re allowed one guest. My buddy and I hunted out butts off for four days fighting heat, storms and bugs lol. He got a doe out second day. I shot at a doe at 40 and she ducked just right. I found my arrow and it had a few hairs on it but no blood. We glassed her for a while as she ran and then walked off, no blood at all. It was the only reasonable shot I was given the whole hunt. The area is very difficult to hunt with bow. My buddy’s doe was the only deer taken that whole hunt. Still had a blast and can’t wait for the next one. BA505092-629B-42E8-B84F-878F0E02FFF7.jpg

I’m not on Facebook so I had my wife post my old bow and accessories on her Facebook. They came back and said that you can’t post weapons for sale. Like someone is gonna go out and kill a bunch of people with a compound bow. FUCK FACEBOOK!!!!!

The trick to posting bows on Facebook is to say “details in the comments” and list the price like this. 3️⃣5️⃣0️⃣
