Folks tend to forget who pays for all that land. We do.

Ya...PA State Game lands are purchased with funds derived from hunting license sales, P-R funds, minerals and gas leasing rights. Now State and National forest land is funded via general fund, ie, tax dollars. However the management of wildlife falls under the jurisdiction of state wildlife agencies WHICH are funded by hunters. Naturalists? Conservationists? Yeah, we hunters are both and fund it for all.

Kind of ironic that the same ones bitching about being in the woods with hunters and it not being safe, are the same ones flying down the road or driving thru town, completely unware of their surroundings because their eyes are glued to their phone "liking" what another Karen had for breakfast.

Thanks all.....not ya's gotta me all fired up!!

The only other major source of income for some of those national and state forests are wilderness programs that use them for backpacking. Program I worked for years ago paid about a quarter of a million dollars per year in permits to use Pisgah, Grandfather, and Appalachian Ranger districts in the western part of NC

Hopefully my wife can stick this one with her crossbow before muzzle loader comes in the 31st. This is the one and only daytime picture of him. We call him crabby. I’ve been trying to find him for two weeks. He disappeared when acorns started falling.

We call him crabby because of his crab claw on his left beam.

I built a blind out of cedars today, it’s right on the property line. We have one big oak tree to hunt, the rest are on the neighbor. The oak is in front of this where he is in the pictures.
