Was hoping to hear some reviews from members that have an ARE CX Classic cap. I went in to a shop this morning to order the ARE CX Evolve but read some poor reviews on it the past few days and the sales guy said he didn’t want to sell me one because he’s had nothing but issues with them. So I’m back to square one. My favorite thing about the evolve was the middle of the road design between the classic and the Z series. The classic is definitely growing on me and was hoping to get some good reviews from you fellas. Thanks!

Hope you get some responses. I have the X Series which has been discontinued.

Few suggestions though from my experience...

Get the liner in the cap. It helps with sound, keeps cleaner and Velcro sticks to it nicely to mount cheap lights or store stuff

Windoors on the side are nice to easily reach in from the sides to get, grab and arrange stuff so you don’t have to climb inside.

factory installed Yakima or Thule rails add future options for carrying stuff on top and you don’t have to be the one drilling into your shiny cap.

the fold down front window is helpful for cleaning the rear truck window and the front of the front cap window.

I got the electric rear cap window lock. I love that it is wired to the truck lock but it does block view to the rear from the drivers seat due to the frame on the inside of the window to hide the wire and lock.

Caps aren’t cheap but I love mine and it was worth the expense.

Thanks for the tips! I’m definitely getting the liner, fold down front window and the roof tracks. Those were the only upgrades I was going to go with. I like the windoors but I have the 5 ft bed so hopefully reaching back for stuff won’t be as bad.
