ARE MX Tailgate Seal???

Called and spoke with a nearby dealer for the following part. Its broken nearly a third of the entire tailgate width. First offstage the part called, secondly what is holding it on? Are those riveted? Not a hex screw, nothing I have can bite into them. The dealer says I can use anything and that the replacement part does not ship with screws.

 

Is that the hard plastic piece that extends over the tailgate? If so then yes, it's riveted on, just drill them out. Mine is older (2006) and it's L shaped with a small lip that goes into a channel, yours looks flat. I've tried using a plastic welder to fix mine where it's cracked but it hasn't held. I wasn't able to find a replacement on-line and ARE wants you to go through your dealer for any parts- which ARE is very proud of and charges you for accordingly. If you've got a plastics dealer in your town I'd probably just go by and find something similar that they think would work and make your own.
