    A few years ago I saw an interview on the local news with a couple complaining that they were too poor to buy Christmas presents for their two kids. During the entire interview they were both smoking away their children's gifts. Classy.

    It adds character, uniqueness <-- Not sure if that's a word. It's simply your taste, your liking, your style...

    I do buy new "worn/torn" pants but not the ones have are extremely worn and torn. I mean, simple blue jeans look just that, too simple to me. Give me some different style pockets, coloring, something different. Slightly worn and torn pants do that for me. I do get asked the same question from "older" relatives all the time though. I just answer "Look, you want me to be religous right? Well i'm wearing HOLEy pants":D
