Who can tell me where to locate the thermostat on my 2017 2.7l automatic transmission? I cannot locate it when looking under or around the ATF cooling lines.

Could someone let the know if it would be wise to add an auxiliary transmission cooler to my 2.7 2wd automatic? Or not worth it?

Is it possible to install the transmission thermostat on the 3rd gen tacoma 2.7l auto?

Not sure, though curious why you are interested. The V6 primarily has the thermostat for fuel economy improvement. The 2.7L is cooling all the time.

It might be easier to add an aux air cooler that has a built in thermostat. Gets you extra cooling without over cooling in cold weather, also avoids messing with the transmission casing entirely.
