Looking to get an alignment on my truck. Any recommendations for a shop in austin, I live southwest. Read a lot off horror stories. 2.7 mt prerunner, trouble shooting bad mpg, all synthetic now and cleaned maf and throttle body. I bought it used, stock. My friend with a v6 4x4 long bed is getting better mpg than me. I will accept it when I know I have covered all the bases. My wife has a Prius :)
    Thx in advance
    Paul

If you have aggressive mud terrain tires or if they are load range E it could be adding a lot of rolling resistance.
Alignment can also cause issues for MPG.

Thx for the response. These are the tires on it. Don't like the look (raised white letters) but they look new.

Those tires should be close to factory weight and tread style.

No problem. Sorry I can't recommend an alignment shop but NTB up here did a decent job last time. Sounds like you have a good plan of attack to rule out any issues. A stuck brake caliper would kill MPG.
