So I have my keys hanging up by door so I hit unlock once and leave it there, and then go outside to my truck(slowly) and as I finally get to it, it automatically locks as I reach to the door. Has anyone heard of that happening? I have a 2008 tacoma trd off-road with manual trans. Thanks

    It's a security feature.

There are far more Toyotas than there are remote codes.
If the door is not opened within some preset time (20, 30 seconds?), the doors automatically re-lock.

That way you don't come out to a parking lot and find your truck unlocked because someone parked close to you happened to have the same code.

This reminds me of a time I got up early one morning at a hotel only to find that my truck was running outside. Somebody's remote start started my truck, they drew a little smiley face in my windshield in the snow before they left.
