Hello all. Like most of you I was less than impressed by the factory shift knob but didn't want to spend near $70 on the trd shift knob. So with a decal and some paint I made my own version of it. Let me know what you guys think and just in case as a back up the first couple layers of paint is plasti dip so it's reversible.

All you would have to do is make an SR5 decal. I just had my local vinyl shop make the TRD emblem and I painted the plastic piece, put the vinyl on and then clear coat...lots of clear coat haha

If you do please share a picture to this thread for me and others. Also I know exactly what you mean. I was naming off mods on the way home from the dealership and I think that's when my wife started to regret agreeing to the truck. She has since changed her mind when her backyard furniture was brought home the same day she bought it because of the truck.

    Gentlemen,

Keep those pimp hands strong. You just tell the wife what will be done to your truck.
    Strong pimp hands.

    It's a thing.

Looks good... I would have done the opposite of what you did.... I would have thrown out the TRD portion of the vinyl and used the "scraps" to paint TRD on the knob... Then clear coated over it..

I was originally going to do that but the "scraps" wouldn't stop creasing because of the roundness of the ball. It's probably my inexperience with vinyl but maybe once I work with it more I'll try that out. I have an orange 13 ball that I want to paint orange TRD on
