    Greetings TW!

This is my first "off road" mod other than a set of tires for my 3rd gen. Also - this is my first product review as well so if anything is missing please let me know OR if you'd like to know more about the install/product.

I was debating whether or not I would prefer spot/flood for my ditch light choice and a helpful TW member from Facebook recommended side shooters so that you don't have to keep messing around with the angling of your lights over time. Of course - majority of the side shooters are going to be expensive such as Rigid Industries, etc. Me being the non serious/extreme off roader I decided to pull the trigger on a more budget set of lights for my first set ever. In comes Auxbeam's Combo Side Shooter.

Upon receiving them in the mail I did not realize how big these lights were. These are almost about the size of an Iphone 7 Plus in comparison. There are also a S*** ton of LED diodes on here as well. The main flood section has 3x4 and the side shooter section has a 9 diode LED strip.

Install was fairly simple and I ended up purchasing Auxbeam's wiring harness in order to eliminate any confusion on wiring coloring, etc. I did, however, change out that ugly push button switch that came with the wiring harness and put in one from CaliRaised and just spliced the wires together. The only issue that I came across was the CaliRaised switch has 4 wires in the rear and the Auxbeam harness only has 3. I ended up having to play around with the right combination and ultimately I decided that I would not need the backlight to be on at all times so I left one connection unplugged. Unfortunately, I did not get pictures of this part but if enough interest is there then I can always unplug and take pics.

The Auxbeam's wiring harness is also slightly short to reach the passenger side ditch lights. Granted - they do in fact connect without any stretching or addition of wires but ideally I wanted to zip tie the wiring to other prexisting ones along the firewall but there isn't enough slack in the wiring.

Overall, install difficulty would be a 3-4/10 only because I am not very well versed in electronics but if I were to do it again it would be a breeze.

Pics of lights on the truck, amount of light shot off to the side, and a final picture of the lights standing in front of the truck (One light is brighter than the other because of the camera/camera angle...in person both lights have the same hue and intensity).

I had a couple pics of the lights on with the headlights while sitting in the drivers seat but I realized that my driver's side ditch light was angled inward a little bit creating some unwanted glare. Will get a picture soon!

What did you pay for these side shooters?
I have the cheap (no 2d 34 or 4d or whatever)
Auxbeam as my ditch lights.. I only paid $20 for the pair on ebay.
The paint has started to come off after two years.. (i have seen rigid and caliraised do the same)
They have never fogged up. They always light up..all around I am really happy with auxbeam and plan to change my 52 no name light for an auxbeam soon..

On their website both pods are listed at around $35 bucks but on Amazon they are selling for $22-25 from their seller account. Figured I would just order via amazon instead of paying full price on their own website.

I haven't had the chance to take them somewhere that doesn't have street lights, building lights, etc. I am going to take better pics when I get the chance.

I'm wondering if those would make good backup lights... the shell on my Tacoma has tinted windows all around. They, along with the tinted rear window of the cab make for easy backing into trees...... :annoyed:
