    Hey guys,

just installed some lights and the auxbeam control panel. Everything is wired correctly, but the add a fuse is giving me issues. It worked briefly and isn’t anymore.

I’m at a loss here, anyone have any advice? It’s wired into the sgt-lock acc fuse.

Does that circuit stay powered all the time? What circuit does the manufacturer say to tap into? Did you check it or other circuits with a meter?

Get a cheap meter from Harbor Freight & do a voltage test on the input and output of the add-a-fuse.

There's a fuse under the dash labeled Pwr Outlet. It will give you constant 12V power anytime the ign switch is in ACC or RUN.

It's not tied into anything that can or will (if there's ever a problem) keep your truck from running or mess with any other important systems incl CAN-BUS.

    So, Update,

changed the fuse location and it didn’t work. Got a circuit tester and I do have a complete circuit with the fuse. I tested the power chord to the switch panel itself and had no power. I checked plug port on the switch itself and had no power coming out. Makes me think the board itself is the issue.

I've seen this before. The issue is the plastic cover for the circuit breaker. The cover barely touches the switch and it breaks the circuit.

If there is no power going in then there will not be any power coming out unless I am misunderstanding your troubleshooting so far.

Seems like a simple power supply issue. If it's not the CB like Losv mentioned then you can just chase power wire back until you find power and then you will find the problem... or at the least it will point you to the component that is the problem.

Well then, grabbed another from Amazon and it’ll be here tomorrow. Let’s hope it works. That’s unfortunate that this is an issue somewhat often.

Nope, you are right. It’s the circuit breaker. There is power going in, I know that much. Not coming out.

You should have contacted Auxbeam. They have a lifetime warranty on all products.
