    Hi All,
I have a code B1156 which is for the RH front airbag sensor. I found this document which outlines a way to diagnose the issue:

    http://www.markofshame.com/fsm/03_Tacoma/Repair_Manual/03tacoma/di/rs/cib1156b.pdf

I am wondering if anyone else has else has had this code and how they went about determining the issue. I have done up to step 4 with the readings from the multi meter being within the ranges. If I followed this correctly, for steps 2,3 I was testing the connector on the airbag sensor side. For step 4 I tested the connector which plugs into the sensor on the wire harness side. The next steps call to test the airbag sensor assembly which I think is in the dash. Wanted to see if anyone has any suggestions before I continue. Thanks.

Why not just swap the right and left sensors temporarily and see if the code moves to the other side?

Good idea. i will try that next. I have to go somewhere to reset my airbag code so I wanted to try and fix it before going, but it seems worth the effort. Thanks.

There is a procedure in the FSM for resetting non ODBII (SRS and ABS, etc..) codes.

Doubt anyone will see this and this won't be of much help to someone with the same problem. Finally had the time and place to dig into this. Harness that goes into passenger firewall has been messed up since I got the truck, looked like there was a fire or something. Fixed the wires I could but could see there was more damage since the firewall grommet was done and bare wires had been abrading on the metal edge. A couple days of work, and A LOT OF soldered wires and the codes are gone! 2nd image is the completed harness, the others are before. The tape reside was sticky and gross to work with.IMG-20250119-WA0003.jpg IMG-20250119-WA0004.jpg IMG-20250119-WA0001.jpg IMG-20250119-WA0002.jpg

Wow, any idea what melted the wires? Doesn't look like anything else was damaged by fire.

I have no idea, I'm not entirely sure if it was a fire as the insulation isn't melted, just the tape looks like it got melted a bit. I know the firewall plug being gone caused the sheathless wires to get knicked and abraded. Your guess is as good as mine!
