Going to replace my original battery soon (2015 -75K) and wanted to know if you need to put in a radio code after the switch? There's no indication that there is a pending problem, but with colder weather around the corner and the age of the battery, just feel this would be something to do soon rather than this winter.

On my older Honda, you need to put in a radio code if the battery gets disconnected, not sure if Toyota has something like this.

Since this original Toyota battery worked so well (8years), thinking about just buying another one, TruStart 27F60-710

    Thanks

I don't know, I have disconnected the battery in my wife's Rav4 for a while and no reset code to that.

Come visit here though I bet someone else can confirm

When I replaced my battery and later when I upgraded my battery cables I didn't have to do anything to my stock radio.

I replaced mine a couple weeks ago and did not need to enter a code. 14-15’s have a different radio than the 13’s so maybe it’s different. Didn’t even need to reprogram my radio, it retained everything. Did have to reprogram the clock.

My oem battery made it 10.5 years. Replaced with a duralast gold since it has the exact same specs as oem and roughly the same dimensions allowing me to reuse the oem battery hold down.

I used one of those 9 volt memory savers. Worked like a charm.
