I can't tell you how many times my father would tell me stories about the QC at TMMK where they make the camrys and avalons. Shutting down the lines for the smallest of things. Just goes to show how times have changed I suppose.:(:( (and now I sound just like him.:))

I had the same issue with my truck, noticed it when the truck was about two weeks old. Had it brought in and the had their in house body shop realign it. All good now,but I am keeping a eye on it been about 4 months ago. One thing I noticed and haven't compared it to any other Tacoma, is it seems like the box moves lots driving down the highway, seems like alot of flex in the rear of the truck.. cab seems not seem move as much as the box. I don't know if anyone else noticed this.

Hate to say it but I don't think there would be half of these issues of these were made in Japan

Isnt it possible it could gave been bumped after leaving the factory either during loading/unloading or at the dealership?

Not making excuses for the factory QC but the way they stage some of these cars in the dealership, it seems possible a little bit of nudging could be going on.

Pretty sure the guys moving the cars and trucks around the lot aren't at the top of the payscale at the dealership.

I am almost 100% sure my truck box wasn't like that when I picked it up from the dealer, and I am also dealing with the issue of every fluid expect the engine being low... rear diff over 1/2 a litre, u joint where all dry requiring many pumps of grease and the tranny being over a litre low. It is amazing how much better the truck runs with fluids. And I owe this site many thanks for saving me $$ down the road.. I recommend everyone to check there fluids..

Yep, they do get out of alignment from time to time, particularly if you haul alot.

Yeah .. mine box was the same.. same side and everything.. and to me was a really big deal, a box of a truck shouldn't move. Mine was actually started touching the cab at times.. had them re adjust it and all good now.. weird thing is they told me none of the bolts where loose..

Shouldn't move but sometimes they do over time and you'll see they become misaligned.

It's more noticeable if you install a shell, you'll see it move independant of the cab, particularly if you run washboard roads or go over railroad tracks.

My bed alignment is fine, but it does move quite a bit at highway speeds. I've never seen anything like it.

went to toyota dealership today, mine will be the second taco with cab alignment issue. they said it was the cab that is not centered on frame, not the bed. which kind of makes sense, since the bed and bumper is evenly spaced nothing off there. estimated time to fix is 2-3 weeks.

I was gonna say it was the cab be because of the new front bumper design or lack there of I didn't really think that it was the cab as I would assume it would of throw something off with that as well. Toyota is really dropping the ball with a lot of these issues. I totally was defending them months ago, but it seems more and more appear each day. To me this is un-Toyota like. Not even sure if the Colorado has this many small issues and it's built by GM
