I am sure this has been beaten to death. But things change. What's the best mod you have done to your Taco and why? Also adventually I will get bigger tires and a lift. But honestly the tires and lift will be for appearance with mostly on road and maybe a little off. Is this a bad idea for mostly on road? I really don't drive far to work and use my trusty KLR in the summer. Thank you for your advice in advance.

Someone mentioned hood struts. I second this. If you don't open your hood often (or ever) then its more of a luxury item. However, if you spend any time wrenching the hood struts are well worth the investment and time.

"Best mods" is obviously end user dependant, but the rear view mirror relocation is critical in my humble opinion. Seat covers are also important as well IMHO; they protect your seats which is crucial considering they're one of the first and most noticeable things when people enter your vehicle and/or when you sell your vehicle.

Oh. Paying the truck off ASAP is probably the most important mod. No truck payment = insta-raise :p

There's tons of stuff depending on your price lol.
The way I did mine was asking myself can I still use this when I "Finish" my truck or will I have to take it off and just waste money if so how much.

    Bone Stock.Why mess with perfection?Except...
Put one of those tulip holders on the dash, like the ones those VW Beetles have. Spinner rims are an absolute must. After that, I'd install one of those LED light strips under the truck. Then, install some huge bass thumpers to the sound system, so everybody in your part of the state can hear your hip hop sound. Don't forget to get a tall spacer lift. Then, you can wonder why your tires wear out so fast.
No, in all seriousness, be careful how you mod your truck, especially if it's your daily driver. Tacomas are engineered to travel many, many miles, and really hold resale value, when treated with just a little respect.
If, on the other hand, your truck is not the daily driver you and your family depend on , the sky is the limit. I would say you should modify it any way you want to modify it. I wouldn't care what anybody says about any modifications. But that's just me.
