    You can negotiate with the insurance company a bit. If they lowball you on the payout as book value does not reflect market value, show them examples of similar trucks selling for higher than book prices.

    With the aftermarket stuff, they may offer you a depreciated value on them. f that is the case, and if you are so inclined, tell them that you want the equipment back. They should let you remove it from the truck before they claim it.

    thanks john im putting togther something now.....

    roof is cracked....pillar is not......
    but more of a slice....FROM THE ROOF RACK...CUT IT LIKE A CAN OPENER....
    BUT ONLY A FEW INCHES LONG.....

    and i just got screwed again....
    when i refinanced truck from the lease i wanted platinum or whatever protection.....so they billed me $2500 for it which i understand
    then i was offered a reimbursement plan on above protection plan for $750
    which should have let me get my $2500 back if i did not ever use the protection policy.....
    catch is dude sold me it to 2019 or 125k which ever came first....
    just read the fine print you cannot ask for reimbursement until end of protection policy which is in 2019.......:eek:

    NOW THAT I THINK ABOUT IT....
    i wanted and pushed for the ext warranty.....
    i wanted it cheaper but $2500 was what it was....
    so he is like dude you obviously work on your truck so if u can fix it without getting dealer involved id can get the price of policy back
    i was like sweet....
    and i was wondering why he gave me 84months
    i told him i would go over the miles before hand.....
    but now i understand
    something for future buyers to watch for
