    Hello All,
I am new to the forum but I have owned Toyota's for several years and also make the engine valves for several models of Toyota's where I work. I currently own a 2014 Tacoma Prerunner and a 2010 Corolla. I have been wanting to get a code scanner that will work for diagnostics on both my vehicles and was curious if anyone has used the Bluedriver OBD2 scanner on their Toy's? When I look up reviews the majority always come up with the Bluedriver.

My Tacoma has 46k on it and has a very rough idle and seems to have a skip sometimes when accelerating. At low speeds(20-40mph) there is like a constant jerk until you let off the gas or increase speed. I wanted to get you guys advice on what type of scanner under $100 would best to help me with diagnosing the issue before I take it in. Don't want to get burned at the dealer!

I appreciate any advice or help.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

I heard people like the Carista scanner. Not sure how advanced you need the scanner to be, the carista seems pretty basic. I ordered one for like $20 or something, hasn't gotten here yet so I can't tell you how well it works yet. Heres a thread talking about some cheap scan tools.
