I bought my Tacoma about 4 months ago. It seems like the first month or two, I had no issue with the brakes making a clunking noise.

But I did some searching here and it sounds like that clunk is "normal".

I can't see spending the next 150,000 miles listening to that clunk (is mine worse than "normal"?).

Has anybody come up with any solutions to this noise? New pads, pins and/or calipers?

I took a look at the pads, and it looks like the pin fits snugly into the caliper, but the pin only fills up about 75% of the hole through the pad. Would it be possible to get a thin sleeve to run through the pads, and then put the pin through the sleeve - in order to eliminate the extra space in there?

My 2010 Tacoma developed a noticeable clunk not too long ago after backing up out of a spot and/or after sitting for a while. Definately pretty noticeable. Not sure what to do but will probably put up with it for a while.
