I have a 2017 toyota tacoma 4x4 sr5 with towing package. But we bought truck used so not sure if really has it. How can I tell? It does have a 4pin and 7pin controller in the back of truck. So do I need an electronic brake controller fir the 7 pin???

Have a look in your owners manual. It should show where the service plug is located in the cab to plug in a harness and controller for the trailer brake control.

Do you have a v6, yes you will need brake controller and harness. Plugin is by left foot inside the kick panel. You will have to remove door sill panel then kick panel. Once removed you will have to feel around for the loose plug.

sortof stock. 6112/5160, pro wheels and a tune.
everything is pre-wired, your good to go. i recommend redarc when you get a brake controller, especially if you got long legs like me. the controller mounts in the dash, clean, and redarc makes a plug and play harness. takes no time to install. takes longer to take the panels loose.
