Hopefully this will help other members down the road. I got the Brake Override Malfunction message yesterday. Got the P0121 code from my OBDII scanner. Truck is in limp mode. It can only do 5 mph on any slide slope or hill. I took the truck to the local dealership this morning. They told me it's a bad throttle body. After tax, repair bill is $762 dollar. It's should be an easy job but I didn't want to go to the dealership and then drive the truck home in limp mode again. My truck is 2018 with 24K miles.

I spent a couple of hours yesterday searching on here with others who had the same error message. I checked all the fuses and they are good.

I just had this exact problem this morning and I will say it was 100% because of the pedal commander. I've had my truck for about 6 months and it came with it (bought used). it's a 2018 with 27k on it. I've had no issues until today when I lost almost all acceleration power. I unplugged the commander and drove to work without it fine. After getting to work I plugged commander back in and started up without any errors, however I haven't driven it yet with it plugged back in so we will see. I have a feeling the connection became this over time or something. Fingers crossed.

    Thank you for reminding me!

Had no issues whatsoever since plugging the commander back in. I guess overtime it must have come loose? I have no idea how long the previous owner had the mod installed. The only other difference is my wife took the truck to the store, so maybe her shoes or foot placement hit the commander's wires? No idea, all I know is the problem is fixed and it was directly related to the Pedal Commander. All is good now, I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Thanks you too!!! I just ordered the controller from mid-Atlantic and I’m trying to be proactive for any possible trouble shooting

I am having the exact same issue, I saw someone point out the STOP fuse, and when I looked, I had not replaced when I removed it. I am hoping that this will clear up the issue. Day 1 of owning a taco and already messing things up.

    LED headlights, interior lights,
My 2018 has had this issue happen twice within a few months. The first time the dealer said it was my throttle body, they replaced it. It happened again, they've had it for 2 weeks and are now telling me it was my aftermarket intake that caused the issue. Thats the only mod I have on it. I cant see how an aftermarket intake thats been installed for a little over a year now just caused this issue

my 10a “stop” fuse wasn’t burnt or nothing but once I replaced this part. Everything went away.
